How do I get started with Milh?

After signing up, complete the onboarding to set up your business profile and the first user accounts. From there, head to Recipes to add your first recipe — most teams begin with their top 10 recipes and the ingredients that go into them.

How do I update my business profile?

Open Settings → Business profile to update your business name, type and contact information. Some advanced settings (e.g. default units) may need to be reviewed when the business type changes.

How do I invite my team to Milh?

Open Team → Invite user. Enter the email address and pick a role for the new member. They will receive an email invitation with a link to set their password and join the workspace.

How do roles and permissions work?

Each user is assigned a role, and each role grants a set of permissions. Admins can create custom roles and pick exactly which actions (read, create, update, delete) are allowed on each module from Roles & Permissions.

A team member forgot their password — how can I reset it?

Accepted Answer

Open Team, find the user, and use the "Reset password" action. Milh will email them a one-time link to set a new password. Links expire after a short time for security.

How do I add a new recipe?

From the Recipes page click "New recipe", enter the name and yield, then add ingredients with their quantity and unit. You can also add preparation steps and attach photos. The total cost is calculated automatically from your ingredient prices.

Can I edit a recipe after I create it?

Yes. Open the recipe and click Edit to update the name, yield, ingredients, steps or photos. Changes to ingredients re-cost the recipe immediately.

How is the cost of a recipe calculated?

The cost is the sum of (ingredient quantity × ingredient unit price) for every line on the recipe. When the price of an ingredient changes, every recipe that uses it is re-costed automatically.

Can a recipe contain another recipe (sub-recipes)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When adding a line on a recipe you can pick another recipe instead of an ingredient. Sub-recipe costs roll up automatically — change a base sauce once and every recipe using it will be re-costed.

Why does my recipe show a unit mismatch warning?

Accepted Answer

A unit mismatch happens when an ingredient is purchased in one unit (e.g. kilograms) but used in a recipe in an incompatible unit (e.g. liters). Open the ingredient and define a conversion factor between the two units to resolve the warning.
